The narrator tells this story after a scare in her home. She begins by talking about a privileged and happy family with all the protection they need. Their neighborhood starts getting robbed. Soon after, the family puts in an electrical gate. People then begin to stay on the streets, making the family more nervous. Next, they put up some razor wire. The little boy plays in it, and ironically is killed. The moral of the story is that too much protection can have a negative effect.
